Community Projects
Tedo Rekhviashvili’s community projects reflect his dedication to using art as a force for connection and change. From creating vibrant school murals in Georgia’s Akhaltsikhe region with Color to Children, to leading linocut workshops for the Life Chance Foundation, and co-founding the Painters for Peace initiative in the U.S., Tedo’s work bridges creativity with meaningful social impact.
Color to Children
In the Akhaltsikhe region of Georgia, Tedo led the Color to Children project, transforming school walls in rural villages with vibrant, sophisticated murals. This initiative went beyond aesthetics; by securing sponsorships, he provided essential resources to schools, leaving a lasting impact on the local communities.
Painters for Peace
In the United States, Tedo co-founded the Painters for Peace (P4P) initiative with Tato Okruashvili, addressing the impact of occupation and displacement in Georgia. The project fosters awareness and unity through art, highlighting the struggles of displaced Georgians while cultivating peace and resilience within communities.
At the Life Chance Foundation, Tedo collaborated with Irakli Toklikishvili during a Charity Day organized by KERA Gallery. Together, they guided children in creating vibrant linocuts on glass and paper, which were sold to directly support the foundation’s mission.
